Penang, 12 April 2025—Penang is set to host the highly anticipated 10th ICD Section XV & WSI International Conference and Induction Ceremony from 18 to 20 April 2025 at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre. The conference promises to usher in a tremendous leap in oral health worldwide and is expected to attract professionals from around the world.
Hosted by the International College of Dentists (ICD) Section XV and the World Stomatology Institute (WSI), the conference is being held in partnership with the Penang State Government and the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB).
The announcement was made during a press conference attended by YB Wong Hon Wai, Penang State Executive Councillor for Tourism and Creative Economy; Adjunct Professor Dato’ Dr. How Kim Chuan, Organizing Chairman and President of ICD Section XV and WSI; and Mr. Ashwin Gunasekeran, CEO of PCEB.
With the endorsement of the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH), Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MYCEB), and some of Malaysia’s top academic institutions, the event will be a milestone convention in the field of dentistry and stomatology. Participating institutions include Universiti Malaya (UM), UKM, UTAR, MAHSA University, AIMST University, SEGi University, IIUM, and the Penang International Dental College (PIDC).
Themed “A New Era of Digital AI Technology in Medicine and Dentistry,” the conference will cover the growing presence of artificial intelligence in transforming clinical practice, diagnostics, public policy, and education.

Prof. Dato’ Dr. How Kim Chuan emphasized the necessity for unity and collaboration:
