From April 8–10, 2024, RICEC will host Saudi Arabia’s 13th Hotel & Hospitality Expo, which will include leading companies, innovative ideas, and industry leaders.
The much-awaited 13th Hotel & Hospitality Expo Saudi Arabia will be held at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Centre (RICEC) from April 8–10, 2024. The expo, which is being organized by DMG Events, is attracting a lot of interest due to Saudi Arabia’s quickly growing tourist and hospitality industry.
Exhibitors from 26 countries, including Turkey, China, India, Italy, and the host nation, Saudi Arabia, will be present at this significant B2B event. The most recent developments in hotel solutions are on display as industry-leading brands including RAK Porcelain, BAAL, Palatino, Technogym International, Sealy, Sleep High, Port Store, True International, Anatomy Fitness, and Egyptian Porcelain have confirmed their participation.
In contrast to past years, when the Lighting Design & Technology Expo and INDEX Saudi Arabia co-hosted the event, this year’s Hotel & Hospitality Expo will function independently. This calculated action attempts to better meet the changing demands of the industry and meet the rising demand in Saudi Arabia’s hospitality market.
The expo highlights the Kingdom’s hospitality progression in line with its Vision 2030 goals, stated Jasmeet Bakshi, Vice President of Design and Hospitality at dmg events, who underlined the significance of this milestone. The fact that all four of RICEC’s halls are fully booked demonstrates the industry’s explosive growth and investment potential.
The hospitality industry in Saudi Arabia is expanding at an unprecedented rate, and by 2030, the Kingdom is expected to build 320,000 new hotel rooms. In addition to guaranteeing that tourism accounts for 10% of the national GDP, this expansion helps the government achieve its lofty target of receiving 150 million tourists annually. As a result of the country’s emphasis on high-end travel, over 67% of the new hotel construction will be in the upmarket and luxury 4- and 5-star categories.
The Restaurant and Café Owners Association, a network of more than 3,500 restaurateurs and investors, has officially endorsed the expo, further demonstrating its business relevance. Ahmed Alkashakri, CEO of the Association, emphasized the event as an important forum for finding creative answers and propelling Saudi Arabia’s hospitality revolution.
The hospitality sector is expected to grow rapidly as a result of significant projects and global events like the 2027 Asian Cup, the 2034 FIFA World Cup, and World Expo 2030 influencing the nation’s tourist future. It is anticipated that the 2025 opening of Riyadh Air will increase tourist arrivals, bolstering the industry even more.
The Hotel & Hospitality Expo Saudi Arabia, which is positioned as the entry point to the flourishing Saudi hospitality industry, is expected to attract more than 8,000 professionals. Executives from Diriyah Company, Marriott International, and Hilton will lead expert conversations to provide attendees with insights into industry trends, innovations, and strategic advancements.
