KUALA LUMPUR: Amari SPICE Penang and Amari Johor Bahru have done Malaysia’s hospitality industry proud by clinching top honours at the Tourism Industry Awards (TIA) 2025.
The annual event, organised by the Malaysia International Tourism Development Association (MiTD), recognised excellence in hospitality and guest experience across 90 competitive categories.
At the ceremony held at Sunway Resort Hotel, Amari SPICE Penang was named Best Business Hotel, while Amari Johor Bahru took home the Best Contemporary Hotel award.
General manager Noorazzudin Omar accepted the award on behalf of Amari SPICE Penang, while Amari Johor Bahru’s general manager Pauline Chua represented her team on stage.
“This award is a celebration of every guest who walked through our doors, every smile from our team, and every little moment of hospitality we have shared,” said the general managers in a joint statement.
Both expressed gratitude to their teams for their dedication and hard work, crediting the wins to their shared commitment to delivering memorable guest experiences.
The gala united industry leaders, government representatives, and tourism stakeholders, reflecting the sector’s continued growth and innovation.
