Thailand unveils vintage tourism train schedule for high season
BANGKOK: Three services are available, including steam trains that travel throughout the nation from Bangkok.
To increase domestic travel and create revenue for the community, the Transport Ministry has released the October–February tourism train schedule.
Over the next five months, three different train types will travel popular tourist routes, Minister Suriya Jungrungreangkit announced on Monday, October 7. These are steam locomotives from the Second World War, Kiha 183, and Royal Blossom.
After being donated by Japan to the State Railway of Thailand (SRT), the Royal Blossom and Kiha 183 have been renovated into comfortable, elegant tourist trains with all the amenities.
On weekends, holidays, and special events, travellers who reserve seats on special trains have the option of day trips or overnight stays.
According to Suriya, the extensive range of trip itineraries would accommodate all travellers, including those looking for adventure, leisure, ecotourism, or cultural experiences.
With air-conditioned accommodations and 180-degree views to enjoy the countryside, the Royal Blossom provides the utmost comfort and elegance. Meals, beverages, a tour guide, a shuttle bus ticket, and accident insurance are all included in the 1,799 baht per person price for a one-day excursion.
Passengers who book tickets on special trains on weekends, holidays, and special occasions can remain overnight or go on day trips.
Suriya claims that the wide variety of trip itineraries would suit all kinds of tourists, including those seeking relaxation, adventure, ecotourism, or cultural encounters.
Offering 180-degree views of the countryside and air-conditioned accommodations, the Royal Blossom provides the highest level of comfort and style.
