Vietjet Expands Fleet with New Aircraft to Enhance Travel During Peak Seasons

Kuala Lumpur, 11 December 2024 – Vietjet has bolstered its fleet with the arrival of a new Airbus A321neo ACF (Airbus Cabin Flex), marking its 111th aircraft. The state-of-the-art plane landed at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, underscoring Vietjet’s commitment to delivering advanced travel experiences.

Renowned for its robust operations across Southeast Asia, including flights connecting Kuala Lumpur to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietjet’s fleet expansion offers Malaysian travellers more comfortable, cost-effective, and environmentally-conscious travel options.

The Airbus A321neo ACF features an enhanced cabin design, providing more spacious seating for an upgraded in-flight experience. Additionally, the aircraft prioritizes sustainability, reducing fuel consumption and emissions by up to 20% and noise levels by 50% compared to older single-aisle models.

As travel demand surges during the Lunar New Year and other peak seasons, Vietjet plans to add three more aircraft to its fleet in December. To accommodate an expected influx of passengers, including holiday-goers from Malaysia, the airline will wet-lease six to ten additional planes on a short-term basis.

This development comes as Vietjet continues its impressive growth in 2024, establishing one of the most modern and dynamic fleets in the region. With direct routes from Kuala Lumpur to Vietnam’s largest cities and a network spanning global destinations, Malaysian travellers can anticipate seamless and superior travel experiences with Vietjet.
