Malaysia Aviation and Singapore Tourism Board renewed their partnership to boost travel

KUALA LUMPUR: To boost tourism from Malaysia to Singapore, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) have extended their strategic collaboration.

According to a statement released today by MAG, the partnership would concentrate on coordinated marketing campaigns and carefully chosen products to increase Singapore’s allure as a Malaysian travel destination while increasing travel expenditures and the number of visitors to major sites.

“As part of the renewed partnership, MAG and STB will launch destination marketing campaigns featuring Malaysia Airlines and Firefly crew experiencing Singapore’s iconic attractions, including Gardens by the Bay, the Singapore Flyer, Resorts World Sentosa’s SEA Aquarium and Universal Studios Singapore, Mandai Wildlife Reserve, and the Museum of Ice Cream,” said the statement.

MAG further stated that both organizations would provide MAG clients with additional travel incentives, including boarding pass privileges in Singapore, to commemorate the third year of the cooperation.

“These programs are arranged to take advantage of the busiest travel times, such as the end of the year, school breaks, and holiday seasons, guaranteeing more accessibility and value for passengers.

Additionally, it stated that Firefly has expanded its Subang jet operations, adding new travel alternatives for both business and leisure travellers with the start of direct flights to Changi International Airport (SIN) on March 25, 2025.

In order to further establish Singapore as a key destination within the MAG network, MAG is happy to maintain its collaboration with the STB, according to Dersenish Aresandiran, chief commercial officer.

“We are thrilled to present Singapore’s dynamic attractions in this next phase while offering our customers better value through customized products and special promotions,” he stated.

Terrence Voon, executive director of STB Southeast Asia, stated that the board was happy to expand its partnership with MAG to provide unique promotions in Singapore.

“We are excited to welcome more Malaysian tourists to Singapore, where they can enjoy unique experiences and see the value of our dynamic city,” he said- Bernama
