George Town, Penang, 30 April 2025 — The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Penang Chapter has officially announced RHB Bank as the Exclusive Platinum Sponsor for the MATTA Fair Penang 2025, scheduled to take place from 24–25 May 2025 at the Setia SPICE Arena.
This highly anticipated event will feature 270 booths offering a wide array of travel packages to domestic and international destinations and is expected to attract over 45,000 visitors from across the Northern Region. Organisers are hopeful the fair will generate approximately RM78 million in total sales, reaffirming its reputation as the leading travel expo in Northern Malaysia.
The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Courtyard by Marriott, attended by Ms Carolyn Leong, Chairman of the MATTA Penang Chapter, and Datuk Hamzah Rahmat, Organising Chairman of MATTA Fair Penang 2025. Joe Tien, Regional Director of Group Distribution at RHB Bank, and Ms Chan Suet Bee, Branch Manager of RHB Bank Lebuh Pantai were also present.
As the Exclusive Platinum Sponsor, RHB Bank is offering a host of travel-centric financial products aimed at modern, experience-driven travellers.
As part of its exclusive sponsorship, RHB Bank will offer visitors up to RM1,500 in travel savings on flights and hotel bookings made via its official travel partner when using RHB Visa Cards/-i.
