Kulim unveils VisitKulim.my to promote local industry and attractions

KULIM: A new online portal, VisitKulim.my, has been launched to promote the district’s industrial, tourism and community potential.

The portal was officially launched on Oct 11 in conjunction with the Kulim Festival and National Sports Day 2025 at the Kulim Hi-Tech Park Sports Complex.

The event was officiated by YBhg. En. Habib Ahmad Muhaiyuddin, the patron of VisitKulim and representative of the Senior Political Secretary to the Prime Minister.

Also present were Kulim District Officer Tuan Mohamad Rizal Mohamad Radzi, Kulim District Youth Council chairman Mohd Azlan Mat Desa, Kulim Hi-Tech Park Sports Complex manager Puan Maizan Mohd Hassan, Kulim District Youth and Sports Officer Puan Aubbry Cynddy Grace K. Diaz, and Draxlmaier Malaysia Kulim operations managers Madam Betz Julia and Mr Meindi Florian.

En. Habib said Visit Kulim. My was more than just a website, describing it as a community-driven initiative to elevate Kulim’s profile nationally and internationally.

“This platform was developed by the people of Kulim themselves to promote the district’s vast potential in industry, tourism and community development,” he said.

Developed through collaboration between the Kulim District Youth Council and the Youth and Sports Department, the portal serves as a one-stop hub featuring industrial visits, tourism highlights and community events.

Among its features is a directory linking educational institutions with companies operating in the Kulim Hi-Tech Park, making it easier to arrange industrial tours. It also showcases attractions such as the Tree Top Walk Sungai Sedim, the world’s longest rainforest canopy walkway.

The website additionally highlights local initiatives like the Kulim Festival and RM5 Food Expo, which featured over 35 local vendors this year. Plans are underway to organise a Ramadan Bazar RM5 next year to further boost small businesses.

En. Habib said the launch reflected the strong collaboration between government agencies, youth bodies and the private sector in positioning Kulim as a progressive and vibrant district.

“I invite everyone to explore VisitKulim. ” for updates on Kulim’s activities and attractions. Let us work together to preserve our heritage and celebrate the beauty of Kulim,” he said.

The event continued with sports and community activities as part of the two-day Kulim Festival, which saw enthusiastic participation from locals.
