GEORGE TOWN: Amari SPICE Penang has launched its year-end initiative, “Christmas With A Cause”, combining festive celebrations with a community-driven effort in support of Asia Community Service (ACS).
The hotel’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony returned with a sustainability theme, attended by media guests, hotel residents, ACS representatives, and staff members.
This year’s décor features trees constructed from repurposed materials, including wood, recycled paper, glass bottles, and upcycled Jameson bottles. A traditional tree at the Club Tiffin Executive Lounge is adorned with natural ornaments, including cinnamon, dried citrus, and spices.
A central feature of the campaign is the hotel’s Wishing Tree. Each tag carries a request from an ACS resident, and guests are encouraged to select a tag, purchase the item, and return it to the Concierge. The initiative aims to channel direct support to children and adults with special needs under ACS’ care.
Amari SPICE Penang said its partnership with ACS reflects its ongoing commitment to inclusive community support and to strengthening ties with local organisations during the festive period.
The hotel also announced its Christmas and New Year dining promotions. Christmas Eve Dinner on Dec 24 and Christmas Day Lunch on Dec 25 will be available at early-bird and regular pricing across the adult, senior, and child categories.
For New Year’s Eve, the hotel will host a buffet dinner followed by a performance by Malaysian comedian Andrew Netto, fireworks, and a lucky draw. A separate countdown package offers access to the comedy show, fireworks, and two beverages.
New Year’s Day Lunch on Jan 1 continues the festive offerings into 2026.
Bookings can be made through the hotel’s online link, WhatsApp, or email.
