BEIJING Nov 4: The China International MICE Exchange (CIMX) 2026 has officially opened at the China National Convention Centre Phase II in Beijing, bringing together international destinations, hospitality players and business event professionals to strengthen collaboration within the global Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) industry.
Organised by Messe Berlin China, the inaugural event runs from Nov 3 to 5, providing a platform to connect China’s growing MICE sector with international markets and create new business opportunities across the business events industry.
CIMX 2026 brings together 150 exhibitors, 350 hosted buyers and representatives from 50 media organisations, with approximately 4,000 business meetings scheduled throughout the three-day event. The exhibition features destinations, convention venues, hotels, airlines and technology providers, offering opportunities for Chinese and international suppliers to connect with event planners and industry stakeholders.
Tianjin, Hainan and Shanghai Lingang Special Area are among the event’s Official Destination Showcase Partners, while EGYPTAIR serves as the Official Airline Partner. Malaysia has emerged as the largest international representation at the event, highlighting the country’s growing participation in the global MICE landscape.
Messe Berlin China vice-president and managing director David Axiotis said the launch of CIMX marked an important milestone for the organisation’s long-term commitment to China’s MICE and business travel markets.
He said the platform would support greater international collaboration while strengthening connections between China and the global business events community.
Beyond the exhibition, the CIMX Conference features 120 speakers across 40 topics, addressing emerging industry trends, business opportunities and developments shaping the future of the MICE sector.
A series of networking activities, including business luncheons and an opening dinner, further complements the programme, providing opportunities for industry professionals to establish partnerships and encourage cultural exchange.
With its inaugural edition bringing together key international stakeholders, CIMX 2026 aims to strengthen Beijing’s position as a platform for global MICE engagement while opening new avenues for cooperation between China’s business events industry and international markets.
