Emirates Airlines Plans Recruitment Roadshows in 26 Cities Worldwide in 2024

As it celebrates the milestone of 100,000 employees in its expanding operations, Emirates Airlines announces significant salary hikes and new roles for pilots.

The Dubai-based airline Emirates Airlines has revealed significant changes to its recruitment tactics for pilots, including raising pay and adding new roles.

The airline just crossed the 100,000-employee threshold, demonstrating both its operational expansion and its commitment to providing top-notch services in the travel, hotel, and aviation industries.

The news was made on April 26, the day of World Pilots’ Day.

Emirates regularly hosts hiring events across the world to provide chances for prospective aviation professionals. The purpose of these events is to attract applicants from a range of cultural backgrounds to increase the opportunities’ accessibility. The Emirates recruitment team intends to host events in over 26 places throughout over 18 countries in 2024.

At the moment, Emirates employs more than 4,400 pilots. Through a variety of recruitment initiatives, including First Officers, Accelerated Command, and Direct Entry Captains, the airline hired over 420 pilots last year. Currently, the airline is actively looking to fill several positions:

First Officers: Not Classified

Emirates is extending an invitation to non-type rated First Officers (usually those with just turboprop or jet experience) to undergo lengthy training and become members of the crew of their large fleet of 144 Boeing wide-body aircraft, which they operate to more than 140 destinations. In addition, these First Officers will be among the first to fly the 205 new Boeing 777-Xs that the fleet plans to acquire in 2025. According to the Emirates website, a First Officer non-type rate starts at Dh31,341.

Boeing 777 Accelerated Command Program

Emirates has extended its Accelerated Command Programme (ACP), which was previously limited to the well-liked A380, to encompass the Boeing 777 fleet. For an Accelerated Command, the starting monthly salary is Dh36,446.

Captain of Direct Entry – A350 Fleet

For the role of Direct Entry Captain, the airline is now hiring. The airline will soon operate 65 A350 aircraft. Emirates increased the starting pay for new captains on the A350 and A380 fleets to draw applicants. According to the Emirates website, a Direct Entry Captain’s base pay, including benefits, is Dh46,670.

Initial Officers

Emirates is providing better compensation packages for seasoned First Officers with more than 4,000 hours of flight time on contemporary Airbus or Boeing aircraft. The Emirates website states that a First Officer’s base pay is Dh31,341, and an extended package can earn Dh33,781.

At Emirates, pilots benefit from a tax-free income, profit-sharing, generous living quarters in gated communities, educational subsidies, and full life, health, and dental insurance. They also enjoy the benefits of a first-rate provident fund and frequent, free financial guidance.
