From Iftar to Impact: Four Points Desaru Turns Ramadan Generosity into Real Change

JOHOR BAHRU, 27 April 2025 — This Ramadan, the spirit of giving found a vibrant home at Four Points by Sheraton Desaru, where every plate served at their Selera Warisan Kampung buffet helped build a better future. In a heartfelt campaign that blended tradition with compassion, the hotel raised an impressive RM29,875 for the National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM).

Guests who dined during the Ramadan period contributed RM5 or RM10 with each buffet purchase—small amounts that, when combined, created a significant impact. The funds will go directly to supporting individuals with autism and the dedicated teams at NASOM centres across the country.

“The goal was never just to serve food. It was to create a space where generosity could take root,” said Ishak Yunus, General Manager of Four Points by Sheraton Desaru. “This campaign reminded us that hospitality isn’t only about service – it’s about showing up for one another.”

The initiative reflects the larger ethos of SKS Hospitality and its brand promise of #WhereYouBelong—a belief in fostering spaces where everyone feels seen, included, and supported. Four Points Desaru didn’t just offer a buffet; it offered a platform for the community to come together, to share, and to make a difference.

More than just a donation figure, the RM29,875 raised stands as a powerful symbol of what can happen when community spirit meets a season of reflection. Each meal was a step toward building a more inclusive society, a reminder that even the simplest gestures—like sharing a meal—can ripple out into real-world change.
