George Town: On December 6, M Summit Group held a grand Christmas lighting ceremony at The Granite Luxury Hotel to kick off the company’s 25th anniversary festivities. The hotel has been turned into a winter paradise with a fantasy castle and a “snow experience” that will captivate visitors every weekend from 8 p.m. until December 29. The theme is White Christmas.
The event also launched a year-long series of activities to celebrate M Summit Group’s silver jubilee.
A Season of Giving
Founder and chairman of M Summit Group, Datuk Albert Moh, emphasized the company’s commitment to sharing the festive spirit. “Accompanying this joyful spirit of sharing, we are hosting children from Ru Yi Children’s Home and Crystal Family Home. Their smiles are our greatest reward, besides fulfilling their Christmas wish lists and donating RM2,000 to the two homes,” he said.
Datuk Moh also shared insights into his humble upbringing, recounting how, at the age of eight, he began working as a kopi kia (coffee helper) before taking on a variety of jobs such as barista and fire extinguisher sales. “My time as a marketing executive at a developer’s company was a turning point in my career. After learning the ropes from that experience, I was able to launch M Summit in 2000 with just two employees,” he stated.
M Summit is now a prominent developer that has redefined the housing and hospitality industries and shaped Penang’s skyline.
A Global Celebration for Employees
To honour its staff, the company has arranged an annual trip for employees with a minimum of two years of service. “In 2023, it was Australia. But for this year, in conjunction with our 25th anniversary, our staff will celebrate Christmas and the New Year in London,” Datuk Moh announced.
Recognizing Achievements
Penang Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman YB Wong Hon Wai praised the group’s contributions. “For nearly 25 years, M Summit Group has played a pivotal role in shaping Penang’s skyline, housing sector, and hospitality industry,” he said.
A Magical Christmas at The Granite Luxury Hotel
The hotel is further spreading holiday cheer with a special “Home Alone 2”-inspired experience for guests staying between December 18 and 27. Guests can pick a gift from under the Christmas tree, with prizes worth RM60,000, including luxury items from Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior.
This celebration was attended by notable figures, including M Summit Group director Datin Jennifer Ong, M Summit Group chief executive officer Moh Wei Ren, The Granite general manager Moh Wei Ken, Tanjong MP YB Lim Hui Ying’s representative Manpal Singh, and Pengkalan Kota assemblyman YB Wong Yuee Harng’s representative Alan Lim.
With its dazzling festivities and year-long activities, M Summit Group is set to make its 25th year a memorable milestone.
