Penang, Malaysia – 28 March 2025 – The Malaysia Gold & Jewellery Trade Exhibition 2025 (MGJE 2025) is returning for its third edition, solidifying its reputation as the nation’s top international jewellery trade exhibition. Organized by the Province Wellesley Gold & Silver Ornament Merchants Association, with the Malaysia Gold Association as a co-organizer, the event will have 150 exhibitors and an estimated 10,000 visitors, further cementing Malaysia’s role as a focal point in the global jewellery industry.

MGJE 2025 this year will be a significant platform for professionals in the gold and jewellery trade, offering significant networking opportunities and wider access to international markets. Of the 25% of Chinese, Singaporean, and UAE exhibitors, the exhibition is a testament to Penang’s growing reputation as a jewellery trade and innovation center. The event will showcase Malaysia’s renowned gold craftsmanship as well as the latest innovations in jewellery design and production. Visitors can expect an extensive showcase of gold collections, Chinese cutting-edge machinery, and innovative packaging solutions. Malaysia’s jewellery sector remains a key contributor to the nation’s economy. The sector recorded robust growth in the first quarter of 2025, with jewellery imports reaching RM1.519 billion for January and February—a 18.39% increase from RM1.283 billion in the same quarter last year. The export figures rose even higher by 14.75%, rising from RM1.288 billion to RM1.478 billion, showing the robust upward trend of the sector.

In addition to the trade fair, MGJE 2025 will feature a fashion parade showcasing the latest jewellery trends for the year and a jewellery design competition designed to place fresh design talent in the spotlight. It will also drive business through trades matching sessions, business networking between both B2B and B2C exhibitors, and spot sales on the event grounds, positioning it as an event not to be missed for business professionals looking to expand their customer base.
