Penang, Malaysia, 8th October 2024 – The 7th edition of the Penang International Travel Exchange (PITE) is set to kick off from 8th to 10th October 2024, aiming to reinforce Penang’s position as a leading business events and travel destination in the Asia Pacific region. Organized by Ace Conferences and supported by the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB), the event has grown into a key platform for promoting Penang’s vibrant tourism and business events sectors.
This year’s edition will feature over 40 exhibitors from across Malaysia and is expected to draw more than 100 international buyers from 14 countries, including India, China, the United States, South Korea, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom. The wide-reaching participation showcases the growing significance of PITE in the global travel market and highlights Penang’s status as a premier destination for business events.
PITE 2024 will offer participants the opportunity to engage in pre-scheduled one-on-one business meetings, providing an invaluable platform for networking and forging new business relationships. Additionally, the event will feature numerous formal and informal networking sessions, fostering collaboration and idea exchange among professionals in the travel and business events sectors.
As part of its agenda, PITE will also include a familiarisation tour for international buyers, showcasing some of Penang’s most popular attractions. Participants will visit destinations such as Penang Hill, The Habitat, Entopia Butterfly Farm, and Tropical Spice Garden, offering a glimpse into the island’s natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.
