The Penang Signature Gold, Gems & Jewellery (PSGJ) Fair 2024 has officially begun at the Setia Spice Convention Centre in Penang, marking a significant event for the gold and jewellery industry in Southeast Asia. From 9 to 11 August 2024, this prestigious fair is anticipated to attract around 5,000 trade visitors from 13 countries, solidifying its status as the region’s foremost gold trading platform. With 150 booths representing exhibitors from five countries, PSG 2024 showcases an impressive array of gold jewellery, gemstones, and related products.
In its 8th year, the fair continues to be a crucial platform for industry professionals, buyers, and enthusiasts to explore the latest trends in gold and jewellery design and manufacturing. The event offers valuable networking opportunities and potential business transactions, supporting Malaysia’s ambition to become one of the top global gold jewellery exporters.
Key highlights of PSG 2024 include the opening ceremony officiated by Deputy Finance Minister Lim Hui Ying, a live gold jewellery runway show, and the AMLA Compliance Seminar focusing on anti-money laundering regulations. Additionally, the International Gold & Jewellery Summit will feature discussions on the industry’s future, with participation from industry leaders across Asia.
The fair also introduces the Hosted Buyer Programme, providing selected international buyers with exclusive networking opportunities and accommodations, aiming to foster global partnerships and elevate Penang’s gold jewellery industry worldwide.
