Tourism Agency Advisor Arrested for Assaulting Teen in Road Dispute

KUALA LUMPUR: A 39-year-old tourism agency advisor was arrested after allegedly assaulting a secondary school student in Saujana Impian, Kajang, on Friday (March 14) afternoon, following a misunderstanding on the road.

Kajang district police chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof stated that the authorities received a report at 9:24 pm from a 17-year-old boy, who claimed he was attacked by an unknown man at 2:15 pm while both were driving in the area.

“As a result of the attack, the victim suffered a broken nose and sought medical treatment at Kajang Hospital. Investigations also revealed that the teenager did not possess a valid driving license and has been issued a traffic summons,” Naazron said in a statement.

The suspect was arrested in Kajang at 9:50 pm to assist in the investigation, which is being conducted under Sections 324 and 279 of the Penal Code.
