GEORGE TOWN: Police have confirmed that a fight that broke out between a foreign woman and her male friend at Persiaran Karpal Singh early on Monday morning (February 10) was settled peacefully and no further action was taken.
Assistant Commissioner Abdul Rozak Muhammad, the chief of police for the Northeast District, stated that around 3:45 a.m., a 33-year-old foreign woman reported the event to them.
She said that at around 12:30 in the morning, she and a male acquaintance from the same nation got into a fight.
Before both of them headed to the Northeast District Police Headquarters for additional action, it is believed that their buddies were able to defuse the situation.
“The investigation concluded that the case is classified as no further action after the male friend apologised to the complainant,” he stated.
