George Town, – November 21, 2024 – The tourism and hospitality industry of Penang achieved a new height today, as its latest hotel, Citadines Connect Cecil Georgetown Penang was opened ceremoniously. The ceremony was led by YB Wong Hon Wai, Penang State EXCO for Tourism and Creative Economy (PETACE) and he expressed, that the hotel will boost the developing tourism sector in the area.
Centrally located at 62, Lebuh Cecil, George Town, the newly opened Ascott property offers its visitors the chance to enjoy one of the famous foods in Penang—the Lebuh Cecil Market. The market serves the recently introduced Lebuh Cecil Nam Lai Duck Meat Koay Teow Soup, which is included in the Michelin Guide Kuala Lumpur and Penang 2025 Bib Gourmand category, making it more interesting for visitors to this place.
Development of the Tourism Industry in Penang
