KUALA LUMPUR, 21 November 2024 – Trip.com Malaysia successfully organized its first-ever Green Travel Fun Run at Townsquare Park, Gamuda Cove, bringing together nearly 200 participants to celebrate fitness, sustainability, and community. The event, aligned with Trip.com Malaysia’s “Explore & Restore” theme, emphasized eco-friendly travel and environmental restoration.
Participants enjoyed a 5km fun run followed by a tree-planting activity. In partnership with Gamuda Cove, 320 trees were planted, contributing to a reduction in carbon footprint and supporting local biodiversity. Gamuda Cove, the event’s venue sponsor, pledged ongoing care for the newly planted trees as part of its #OneMillionTrees initiative to enhance Malaysia’s green spaces.
Adding to the event’s green ethos, the Kloth Woman Up booth showcased upcycled merchandise made by women from marginalized communities, highlighting the intersection of environmental responsibility and social empowerment.
China Airlines was the Diamond Sponsor, and five platinum and three gold sponsors supported the event, which demonstrated strong collaboration among industry leaders to advance Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) values.

Ms. Stephane Thong, General Manager of Trip.com Malaysia, hailed the event as a milestone in sustainable travel advocacy.
