MALAYSIA- In a promotional video, Malaysia Airlines showed the designs of its brand-new business class and economy class cabins on the A330neo.

In the upcoming months, the airline will get its first Airbus A330neo, which will have brand-new cabins.
In summary, Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), the parent company of Malaysia Airlines, has decided to replace its current generation of wide-body aircraft with 20 Airbus A330-900 (A330neo) aircraft, of which three are expected to go into service this year.
The airline announced that it will be utilizing new economy Recaro CL3810 seats, which have an ergonomic design, improved support, and features like plenty of stowage, coat hooks, and cup holders.
The airline’s characteristic songket motif will be included on the seat covers throughout the cabin, which will have 269 seats placed in a 2-4-2 configuration.
A 13.3-inch 4K in-flight entertainment screen will also be available to every passenger, a significant improvement above the 11-inch 1080p screen that is currently available in the economy.
The Collins Aerospace Elevation seat, which can fold completely flat and has a larger 17.3-inch 4K screen along with wireless charging pads, will be available on Malaysia Airlines’ A330neo aircraft.
The A330neo’s 28 business class seats are arranged in a 1-2-1 layout, giving cabin crew members immediate access to every passenger.
Melbourne, Australia has been chosen by Malaysia Airlines to be the destination of its inaugural A330neo commercial trip in the third quarter of 2024.
