Sunway Carnival Mall Unveils ‘Cozy Cozy Christmas’ Featuring Twixy and New Festive Attractions

BUTTERWORTH: Sunway Carnival Mall has kicked off its year-end celebrations with the launch of its “Cozy Cozy Christmas” campaign, transforming the mall into a whimsical festive haven complete with cosy corners, playful touches and a candy-like atmosphere designed to spark joy among visitors of all ages.

The month-long celebration, which runs from November 28 to December 28, places the spotlight on Twixy, the mall’s newly introduced festive mascot, described as a sweet yet mischievous guardian of Christmas magic.

Shoppers will find Twixy stationed beside the mall’s unconventional, fluffy bauble Christmas tree, a snow-dusted centrepiece adorned with bright ornaments and created to offer endless photo opportunities.

At the launch event, Sunway Carnival Mall senior general manager Chai Wen Yew said this year’s theme was crafted to rekindle a sense of childlike wonder, offering a momentary escape from the fast-paced world.

“We want to be more than just a place to shop or dine. Our goal has always been to create a safe and welcoming space where families spend time together, where friends reconnect and where joyful moments turn into cherished memories,” he said.

Chai added that Twixy represents the inclusive and wholesome spirit the mall hopes to bring to the community, serving as a reminder that festive magic is meant to be shared by everyone.

Chai also revealed that Sunway Carnival Mall recently completed its transformation into a modern retail and lifestyle hub for the northern region. The RM800mil investment saw the mall refreshed with upgraded facilities, expanded spaces and a strengthened tenant mix featuring renowned names such as Coach, Michael Kors, Jo Malone London, Lacoste, Bonia and MLB. The mall is also preparing to welcome the highly anticipated POP MART early next year.

According to the comments made by Chai about the growing trust and support of the local community toward the mall, they were expecting an annual attendance of around 12000000 people due to the fact that there will be over 350 stores and 3200 parking spaces on 7 levels.

Looking forward to the future, Chai explained that Sunway is expanding into the northern part of the country with plans to establish the Sunway Ipoh Mall. The Sunway Ipoh Mall will be the largest shopping mall in Perak and is planned to open by 2025. There will be more than 100 stores at this mall with an emphasis on providing a new retail, lifestyle, and community hub.

“While there are always challenges ahead, we approach 2025 with hope; there will always be challenges, and they are what inspire us to push forward, to create, to improve, to grow together,” he stated. Chai thanked the Northern Region of Tourism Malaysia, the media, all the retail tenants, all the shoppers and Sunway’s team for their continuous support.

He ended the evening by wishing all guests a Merry Christmas and a bright start to 2026.
