Türkiye will raise its goal number of tourists to 61 million by the end of this year. Tourism brought in $46.9 billion for the nation in the first nine months of this year. According to Azernews, arrivals rose by 18.3 per cent compared to the epidemic period, precisely the same period in 2019, and by 8.7 per cent compared to the previous year.
The minister claims that Turkiye’s tourism revenue in the third quarter of this year was $23.2 billion, the largest quarterly total in this industry.
Interestingly, Russia (5.5 million), Germany (5.2 million), and the United Kingdom (3.7 million) are the top three countries of origin for visitors to Turkiye this year. This surge is a result of Turkey’s deliberate efforts to improve tourist infrastructure and promote a variety of attractions, from historical sites to lively coastal resorts, in addition to the country’s appeal as a travel destination.
Furthermore, tourists are still drawn to Turkey by its distinctive fusion of cultures, extensive history, and breathtaking scenery. To encourage tourists to venture outside of the typical tourist destinations, the government is also funding advertising campaigns that highlight lesser-known areas. By continuously improving guest experiences and safety, Turkiye hopes to establish itself as a top travel destination worldwide.
