Penang, 17 April 2025 — Penang’s image as a high-tech and sustainable production giant is set to shine even brighter this July, as NRG Exhibitions (M) Sdn Bhd takes a major leap in expanding its world-class trade show series. The much-awaited Electronics Manufacturing Expo Asia (EMAX) and Penang Manufacturing Expo (PMAX) are set to come back bigger than ever before, now joined by two new specialist events — Semiconductor Expo Asia (SMAX) and Asia Sustainable Factories Expo (ASFAX).
The launch was announced yesterday at a press conference, chaired by Penang’s Deputy Chief Minister II YB Jagdeep Singh Deo A/L Karpal Singh. In his address, he commended the event for its role in Penang’s industrial growth and green revolution, calling it a platform that brings together “global expertise and local strength to chart the future of our economy.”
Set to take place from 23 to 25 July 2025 at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre, the four-in-one expo is poised to be a powerhouse convergence of industries shaping the future of manufacturing, electronics, semiconductors, and sustainability in Asia.
The addition of SMAX and ASFAX is a powerful strategic expansion for the EMAX series, a reflection of the evolving needs of the industrial value chain in the region. SMAX will offer an end-to-end showcase of the semiconductor ecosystem — from chip design to fab, test, and package — while ASFAX is focused on the theme of sustainable manufacturing solutions with the newest trends in renewable energy, smart factories, green building technology, and ESG-driven innovations.
